cinema services ::: film recording

It is extremely important that the grain content in the recorded shot matches exactly that of the original film, so that when the added effect is edited into the finished sequence there is no discernible change in grain, a telltale sign of an added effects shot.
The Film Recorder uses red, green and blue lasers to expose negative film. The three lasers write directly to each color layer of the intermediate stock. This combination produces images of unparalleled sharpness and color saturation. The final output negative cuts seamlessly back into original camera negative.

For screening TVC's at cinemas, Domino converts TVC's from video to high resolution data, color grades for the silver screen, then transfers everything onto 35mm film, creating a superior quality print for theater projection.

Scanning 35mm and 65mm films at high resolution, Solid Dreams provides blue screen, wire removal, and access to unlimited external effects. Solid Dreams then color grades and add other post production effects the final picture and transfers everything onto fresh 35mm or 65mm film at high resolution, ready to cut seamlessly into the original film footage.
