Research
In order to build a site that achieves goals, we must first work with you to clarify your goals and objectives, assess your audience needs, position your brand for the online environment and formulate technical requirements. In addition we ensure the project is on track by reporting on industry trends, examining competitor sites, conducting user testing if there is a current site and assessing current platforms and systems.
Analysis
After we have gathered all of the information needed during discovery, we review and analyze our findings in order to recommend the best site design strategy, including high-level site architecture, creative, branding, production and technical considerations and recommendations. These assessments and recommendations are delivered in a documented Strategic Brief foundation of the site.
Design
In this phase we work to establish the framework for the site from a functional, creative and technical perspective. This framework will serve as the roadmap for all design, technical and production efforts during the development phase. During the design phase, Solid Dreams produces preliminary designs that specify all content, functionality, navigation and overall look/feel.
Development
This is when it all comes together. When documents are translated into actual live pages. All functionality is built and tested. All pages are designed and produced. During development process, you can watch the site come alive and grow. It's amazing to watch!
Testing During the testing phase, our Quality Assurance department confirms that the site conforms to agreed-upon standards. Solid Dreams measures quality in two ways: 1) product reliability and 2) happy customers and/or clients. A site that has undergone a thorough QA test cycle will have fewer bugs, dead links, typos and errors than a site without appropriate QA.
Launch
This is not a phase, but it sure feels good to say. (Especially when you know that our Managed Services group is supporting all systems).
In a nutshell, we work with our sleeves rolled up, our minds open and our eyes on the ball.
